KOS ISLAND GREECE - KOS CLIMATE

The period in which you choose to spend your vacation in Greece depends not only on the time available, but also on the type of personality that you have. Any time is good to come to Greece. Each season has its charm, as each season has drawbacks.
July and August are great if you want a perfect vacation. This is the period when most people come to Greece because they could now plan their holidays and what could be nicer than sitting at the seaside in the hottest months of the year?

It is more crowded and seats are harder to find during the peak of the season, but nightlife is booming and the beaches are alive with a lot of people. Tourists agree that Greece is fun during the summer. Much more fun than people may think and many tourists who spent an entire summer have become spoiled.

Kos island has a Mediterranean climate with an average annual temperature of about 25 degrees celsius. Summers are hot and dry. They start in May and end in October. Rain is a very rare phenomenon during the summer. July and August are very hot months with temperatures above 30 degrees celsius, but at night the temperature drops a lot. Winters are generally mild and torrential rains are present between November and April. The sunlight is abundant. The humidity is acceptable and the difference between the high temperature and the humidity doesn't stress the tourists.

It can be chilly and rainy from November till March, but the island's climate can be like that of an Indian summer.

April is usually the holy month of Easter holidays and it is a fairy. If you are lucky enough tol be on Kos island when all the flowers will show their splendor and the smell of roast lamb will tickle your nostrils, you will understand why many tourists come this time of the year to celebrate Easter in a traditional greek way.

From May to June and September to October the temperatures do not climb so much and the islands are quieter. Nightlife is not off but the beaches are almost deserted. Tourists could catch a day or two of rain, but there's no problem.
